Unstitched: how much cloth

A three-piece is sold as three lengths. Take this to your tailor before cutting.

Cloth length per piece in an unstitched three-piece suit
PieceLengthWhat it covers
Shirt (kameez)2.5 mEnough for a straight kurta to mid-calf, full sleeves, up to size L.
Trouser (shalwar)2.5 mStraight or boot-cut trouser. A gharara or sharara needs more.
Dupatta2.5 mStandard length. Wider drapes need 3 m, which we list where it applies.

Sizing questions

I am between two sizes. Which one should I take?

Take the larger one. Our pret is cut straight rather than fitted, so the bigger size reads as intended rather than loose. If you prefer a close fit, take the smaller size and have the side seams taken in.

Do unstitched suits come in sizes?

No. Unstitched is sold as cloth, so there is one length for everyone and your tailor cuts it to your measurements. The metres you get for each piece are listed on every product page under Specification.

Is 2.5 metres enough for a tall frame?

For a straight kurta to mid-calf, yes, up to about size L. If you are over 5 feet 7 inches or want a longer or fuller cut, ask your tailor before cutting, and consider buying an extra half metre of the plain trouser cloth.

How should I measure at home?

Wear a light shirt, stand relaxed and keep the tape flat rather than tight. Measure the fullest part of the bust, the narrowest part of the waist and the fullest part of the hip. Use the body table on this page, not the garment table.

What if the size is wrong when it arrives?

Message us within seven days and we exchange it, as long as the piece is unworn, unwashed and in its original packing. Unstitched cloth must not have been cut. We arrange the pickup ourselves.
